We are delighted to announced our Coral Royale table lamp was awarded Best Lighting Piece at the International Yacht and Aviation Awards. The table lamp, which showcases the ancient Chinese art of Su Embroidery, was recognised for its unrivalled design.
It was designed by Ori Home founder and designer Pei Li, who was inspired by the opulence and
beauty of red coral.
Pei, whose design earned more than 12,000 votes, was delighted to take home the trophy.
He said: “I was thrilled to be shortlisted for such a prestigious industry award, so to be named
winner was a huge honour.
“I am incredibly proud of every product in my collection, however, there is something very special about Coral Royale. The combination of elegant satin-finished brass and embroidered red coral is exquisite and truly demands attention, wherever it is placed.”
Days after returning from Capri, Italy, where the award ceremony took place, Pei learnt Coral Royale was also shortlisted at the Society of British Interior Design Product Design Awards.
He added: “The Society of British Interior Design is a really respected organisation, which recognises quality products, so to be shortlisted is a huge privilege.”
Ori Home specialises unique products, inspired by ancient crafts and reimagined for modern living. As well as table lamps which incorporate Su Embroidery, Ori Home also has collections of handmade cushions and is set to end 2020 with a host of new product launches, including handmade ottomans.
Pei added: “2020 has brought with it a unique set of challenges, however, it has also been one of the most exciting for us. We have not only diversified our product collection but have scored two hugely influential award nominations.”
